The CMS Minimog is a versatile utility vehicle ideal for all kinds of land maintenance uses: clearing snow, municipal maintenance, path maintenance, goods transport and rubbish collection, its multi-purpose nature means that it can be fitted with any kind of equipment on the market.
Thanks to its small size, three locking differentials, permanent four wheel drive and integrated steering system, it can take on terrain and situations that other vehicles cannot. Comfort and driver safety are guaranteed by four wheel independent suspension, four self- ventilated disc brakes, and the flexibility of the innovative modular chassis. All this and more defines the dynamic character and excellent maneuverability of this vehicle.
Chassis: This vehicle’s strong point, made with a steel modular structure with a very high yield strength, allowing easy, quick maintenance if necessary. Its remarkable flexibility guarantees traction and lightness on any surface, even the most fragile, and means it handles well. To increase rust resistance it is treated with Cataphoresis and then two layers of varnish. You have never seen a chassis like it.
Integrated steering system: There are three possible steering positions that can be used when working: frontal, concentric axles, and parallel axles. Nowhere is inaccessible.
Four wheel independent suspension: This allows for unparalleled driver comfort with any load, enhanced by the low barycentre of the vehicle, and the central position of the engine. The impressive suspension stroke of the adjustable Macpherson strut grips the terrain in all conditions, even on a steep slope (front and side) or large differences in incline between the front and back.
Breaking system: The Minimog is equipped with four self ventilated disc brakes that with the help of a 50-50 weight distribution between front and rear axles, allow powerful, safe braking in all conditions. The hand brake acts both on the central drive shaft (through a mechanical actuator) and hydraulically on the rear wheels.
Transmission: Full time four wheel drive, and three central differentials with four satellites, which can be 100% locked through a pneumatic control. Four speed mechanical transmission with two ratios (slow-fast) and inverter, which are also controlled pneumatically. This kinematic chain allows the use of 16 ratios in all work conditions.
